Mixing, mastering & production

Records mixed, mastered, and produced from first downbeat to final delivery. Session work placed on ABC and Netflix programming, includingDC's Legends of Tomorrow.

I'm kind of obsessive about picking apart records and finding out what makes them tick, and this is the fuel that drives me as a freelancer, session musician and a producer. I'm really passionate about taking elements from a classic album, even if it's something simple like a quirky guitar tone, and finding a way to make it my own.

What he does

Mastering

Details on request

Mastering for streaming, CD, or vinyl, with deliverables tailored to the final format the project needs. The album rate is a real saving on anything over ten songs.

Mixing

Details on request

What a mix costs depends on the recording format, the track count, how complex the session is, and whether anything needs repairing from the tracking stage. Every mix includes a set number of revisions, agreed before the work starts.

Production

Details on request

Full eight-hour studio days with Brandon in the room guiding the session: shaping song forms, working the band through transitions, helping each song come to life on the record. He can also take on the full technical side in whatever studio you're in: mic placement, signal routing, running the system, managing session files. Shorter days are negotiable.

Full production package

Details on request

Production, engineering, mixing, and mastering under one roof, from the first downbeat to final delivery. One creative vision carries the record the whole way through, and it costs less than booking each piece separately.

Session work

Details on request

Guitar, keys, bass, vocal harmonies, and more, delivered in whatever DAW format drops cleanly into your session.

All rates are negotiable based on project scope and client needs. Let's talk about your record.

Send a note about the project and Brandon will come back with a full rate sheet and a quote scoped to it.

Where the sessions have been

This August, Brandon is the guitar soloist for the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra's Zappa program, playing Revised Music for Guitar and Low-Budget Orchestra and G-Spot Tornado on a bill with Mozart's "Haffner" symphony. Before that came the world premiere of William Menefield's Fierce at Cincinnati Opera, and John Adams' El Niño under the composer's own baton at the May Festival.

The same year takes in a roots-rock record mixed in Lexington and a stack of guitar parts handed to a producer to be cut up into beats. It tends to mean that whatever your record needs, he's played something adjacent to it fairly recently.
